The amendments to the Trademark Law of 2019 established, among other important changes, the mandatory Mid-Term Declaration of Use. This implies the need to file a written statement to the Trademark and Patent Office (INPI) five years after the mark is granted, stating that it has been used for the products and/or services for which it was requested.
